Robert Hadden, un exginecólogo que trabajó entre 1987 y 2012 en prestigiosos hospitales de Nueva York (EE.UU.), ya sentenciado a 20 años de prisión por cargos de abuso sexual contra al menos 200 pacientes, enfrenta una nueva demanda por parte de otras 301 mujeres, informan medios locales.
“Hadden actuó como un depredador sexual repugnante, sádico y pervertido que utilizó su estimada y confiable posición […] para preparar, explotar, abusar, violar, abusar sexualmente, acariciar, sodomizar y cometer diversos actos de agresión física, verbal y sexual a miles de pacientes, incluidas las demandantes, todo bajo el pretexto de brindar atención médica legítima y médicamente necesaria”, reza la demanda citada por Fox News.
El documento presentado el pasado martes 3 de octubre del 2023 ante la corte señala que Hadden, de 64 años, es “el depredador sexual en serie más prolífico en la historia del estado de Nueva York”.
Anteriormente, los fiscales a cargo del caso declararon que el agresor usó su posición como médico “para hacer creer o intentar hacer creer a sus víctimas que el abuso sexual que les infligió era apropiado y médicamente necesario“. En ese contexto, fue acusado por abuso sexual en 2016 y, aunque se declaró culpable, el dictamen final se emitió solo el 24 de enero del 2023.
Además de la pena de prisión, el exginecólogo fue sentenciado a libertad supervisada de por vida una vez cumpla su sentencia en la cárcel y se le ordenó pagar una multa de 10.000 dólares.
