Se puede corroborar que Gálvez reprodujo íntegramente el primer párrafo del Programa Especial de Cambio Climático 2009-2012 de la Secretaría de Gobernación de México, que fue publicado en el Diario Oficial de la Federación mexicana el 28 de agosto de 2009.
La senadora mexicana Xóchitl Gálvez, virtual candidata presidencial en México por la coalición opositora Frente Amplio, se convirtió nuevamente en foco de señalamientos tras divulgarse en las redes sociales aparentes pruebas de que copió párrafos enteros de terceros en el informe profesional que presentó ante la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) en 2010 para obtener su título de ingeniera en computación.
De acuerdo con los datos expuestos por internautas, en su trabajo, intitulado ‘Diseño de edificios verdes e inteligentes‘, Gálvez habría reproducido sin alteración parte del contenido de un plan oficial sobre el cambio climático y fragmentos de dos tesis de maestría, una de ellas defendida en la Universidad de Azuay (Ecuador).
Los denunciantes recalcaron que en todos los casos detectados los documentos fueron publicados antes de que la política del partido político mexicano conservador y de derecha PAN consignara su acreditación de saberes ante la UNAM.

El portal méxicano de noticias Animal Político afirma que en el informe también se encontraron reproducciones no acreditadas de porciones del documento ‘La demanda de gasolinas en México. Efectivos y alternativas ante el cambio climático’, que data de 2002, así como de un texto del portal Wikipedia correspondiente a la entrada ‘Protocolos de comunicación’.
“La pendejeé”
En medio del revuelo, la candidata admitió ayer miércoles 20 de septiembre del 2023, en su visita a la Cámara de Diputados, que efectivamente copió textos de terceros cuando elaboró su trabajo para titularse en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la UNAM.
“La mayor parte de los temas son técnicos, describen equipo, son sacados de manuales técnicos. Un tema es la política pública del gobierno federal, que se aclara que es la política en materia ambiental, y es un tema que sí, la pendejeé, –se equivocó– porque sí debí poner de dónde era“, reconoció.
“El título lo obtuve por experiencia profesional y ese título viene presentando casos prácticos que te acrediten que tienes experiencia como ingeniera”, explicó la senadora. “Entonces, lo que yo presenté fue un informe donde se toman algunos párrafos del programa climático del Gobierno. Es obvio que me estoy refiriendo al programa de cambio climático, algunas referencias técnicas de equipos muy específicas y hay un párrafo por ahí que seguramente tomé en el contexto de edificios inteligentes”, agregó.
Pero un análisis más detallado publicado por la revista mexicana Etcétera permite concluir que no se trata solo de omisiones a las referencias técnicas, sino que Gálvez también habría optado echar mano de las ideas de terceros, al tomar párrafos de varias fuentes, incluida la Wikipedia, en los que cambió apenas unas pocas palabras sin alterar la idea central, lo que sugiere una argucia más elaborada que la simple copia.
Entretanto, la UNAM anunció en un comunicado que habida cuenta de las “recientes publicaciones en algunos medios de comunicación y redes sociales”, iniciará una investigación sobre los señalamientos por “presunta falta de integridad y honestidad” de Bertha Xóchitl Gálvez en la presentación de su informe profesional.
De acuerdo con las instrucciones giradas por el rector Enrique Graue Wiechers, el Comité de Ética y el Consejo Técnico de la Facultad de Ingeniería tendrán en sus manos analizar el caso y pronunciarse al respecto.
