La actriz estadounidense Heidi Montag reveló recientemente el calvario que debió enfrentar luego de someterse a diez cirugías estéticas en un solo día en 2009, cuando tenía 23 años, intervenciones que casi le cuestan la vida.
“En ese momento, mi cirujano dijo: ‘Oh, será una recuperación rápida, en unos pocos meses'”, relató la estrella del ‘show’ de telerrealidad ‘The Hills’ de MTV al pódcast ‘Virtual Reali-Tea‘. “Y me tomó más de un año sanar, así que apenas podía hablar. Me cortaron parte de la mandíbula y la barbilla“, detalló.
Asimismo, la actriz de 37 años recordó que la clínica le comunicó en aquel momento a su esposo, el también actor Spencer Pratt, que estaba al borde de la muerte. “Llamaron a Spencer en un momento y le dijeron que básicamente había muerto“, contó. “No me estaba yendo bien“, subrayó.
Como resultado de la lenta recuperación de Montag, la pareja abandonó el ‘show’ de MTV, emitido entre 2006 y 2010, a mitad de la sexta y última temporada. Ambos se habían conocido en la grabación del programa y se casaron en 2008.
Además de la reducción de la barbilla, las otras cirugías realizadas el mismo día incluyeron un aumento de senos, una revisión de rinoplastia, un levantamiento de cejas, una liposucción, inyecciones de grasa facial y la sujeción de las orejas hacia atrás.
“Obviamente, fue mi elección, pero no era consciente de las repercusiones ni de cuánto tiempo me llevaría [recuperarme]”, reconoció la estrella. “Todo el mundo siempre te muestra fotos de antes y después, pero no te muestran lo devastadora que es la recuperación“, advirtió.
