Seis hombres murieron la tarde de ayer viernes 15 de marzo del 2024 en la localidad argentina de Blaquier, perteneciente al partido Florentino Ameghino en la provincia de Buenos Aires, después de que uno de ellos cayera en un pozo de cloacas y el resto intentara ayudarlo, informan medios locales.
Ricardo Bottega, de 60 años, fue contratado por el municipio para realizar tareas de mantenimiento rutinario en el sistema de red cloacal. Al parecer, el hombre ingresó sin una máscara de protección y, presumiblemente, murió de intoxicación al inhalar el gas butano que emana del pozo.
Ezequiel Rodríguez, responsable de las cloacas, pidió ayuda al ver que Bottega no salía del lugar ni respondía a sus llamados, por lo que cinco personas se ofrecieron a socorrerlo, pero no tenían conocimiento del peligroso gas.
El bombero voluntario Nicolás Sánchez, de 28 años, bajó primero al pozo y también dejó de responder, por lo que su padre,
Juan, de 50 años, descendió a la fosa séptica para intentar averiguar qué pasaba. Al repetirse la situación, Carlos Reinger, bombero de 39 años, junto a su colega Mateo Pellegrino (27 años) y Alejandro Centeno de 36, bajaron al pozo, corriendo con la misma suerte que Bottega.
Los cuerpos fueron trasladados a la ciudad de Junín para realizar una autopsia y confirmar la causa de la muerte de los seis hombres, ya que otra hipótesis sugiere la posibilidad de que se tratara de una descarga eléctrica.
Asimismo, la Ayudantía Fiscal de Ameghino está llevando a cabo una investigación en el lugar.
