El argentino Jorge Base, de 41 años, fue víctima de una mala praxis en el Hospital Provincial Florencio Díaz en la ciudad argentina de Córdoba, donde en lugar de realizarle una operación de vesícula según lo planeado lo sometieron a una vasectomía sin su consentimiento.
“Me dijeron que en el momento en el que me operaron, en el quirófano, no hacían operaciones de vesícula sino de lo que me hicieron, esto fue el miércoles (28 de febrero del 2024)”, comentó a El Doce. “Es muy raro porque en mi carpeta decía vesícula por todos lados, lo único que tenían que hacer era leerla, no tiene mucha ciencia”, agregó.

Según le explicaron los médicos, por su edad y el tamaño del conducto “ya no tiene sentido” someterlo a un procedimiento para revertir la vasectomía; las posibilidades de éxito son mínimas.
“Bueno, no te hagas drama”
Para engendrar una hija, Base, que tiene dos varones, tendría que recurrir a la inseminación artificial con su pareja.
“No quiero apuntar con el dedo, pero acá nadie se responsabilizó. Se enfocan en decirte: ‘Bueno, no te hagas drama, que por inseminación podés tener un hijo igual‘”, relató la víctima, que se siente “con bronca e impotencia porque lo que hicieron ya lo hicieron, no tiene retorno”.
Para colmo, como le realizaron la operación que no le correspondía, tuvo que ser operado nuevamente, esta vez sí de vesícula.
Por lo visto, el personal del hospital se equivocó en la orden de las cirugías por realizar. Todavía no está identificado el responsable del error que le costó al paciente su salud reproductiva.
