Un hombre que se cree que es Satoshi Kirishima, un criminal buscado durante más de 50 años por su papel en una serie de ataques terroristas, murió hoy lunes 29 de enero del 2024 en un hospital de Japón, informa el medio japonés NHK.
Por el momento, la Policía está intentando confirmar la identidad del fallecido mediante análisis de ADN y otros métodos, señala el medio.
El hombre había ingresado al centro médico con otra identidad por un cáncer terminal y, mientras recibía tratamiento, confesó que era perseguido por la Justicia.
Durante su estancia en el hospital, el individuo afirmó que quería pasar el resto de su vida con su nombre real y —según NHK— contó a los investigadores detalles de uno de los ataques.
Satoshi Kirishima, de 70 años, era exmiembro del grupo de extrema izquierda Frente Armado Antijaponés de Asia Oriental. La organización militante a la que pertenecía el individuo llevó a cabo atentados con bombas contra gigantes corporativos entre 1974 y 1975. Una explosión en el edificio de Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, el 30 de agosto de 1974, mató a ocho personas e hirió a otras 380.
